Location: Wokingham

Pay £9-£13 per hour

We are seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team at Pratts Pods as a Customer Service Assistant at our tech repair shop in wokingham. This position plays a vital role in ensuring excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining accurate data records.

The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for technology, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. If you enjoy interacting with customers, have a knack for sales, and are organized and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:
    • Greet and welcome customers, providing a positive and friendly atmosphere.
    • Listen attentively to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests, and provide prompt and effective solutions.
    • Offer product information, technical advice, and recommendations to customers based on their needs and preferences.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by following up on service and product inquiries.
    • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the products and services offered by Pratts pods.
  2. Sales:
    • Proactively engage with customers to identify their needs and recommend suitable products and services.
    • Meet or exceed sales targets by promoting products, upselling, and cross-selling.
    • Provide accurate pricing, quotes, and product information to customers.
    • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
    • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including product displays and promotional materials.
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve overall sales goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
  3. Data Input and Record Keeping:
    • Accurately input customer information, sales data, and service requests into the computer system or database.
    • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of customer interactions, transactions, and repairs.
    • Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and submitting requests for replenishment when needed.
    • Generate reports on sales, customer feedback, and other relevant metrics as required.
    • Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement based on customer data and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Math and English GCSEs or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in customer service, sales, or technology is a plus.
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong sales acumen and the ability to identify customer needs and offer appropriate solutions.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, spreadsheets, POS software, and databases.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, as required.
  • Knowledge or interest in technology and consumer electronics is highly desirable.
